It is a sin to kill anyone in deed or in word. Unfortunately or fortunately God gave us Free Will and sometimes we don't make the best choices. I am pro choice but not pro abortion. I feel what is often left out in the discussion is life after birth. Many pro life advocates are: 1) pro death penalty, pro gun ownership, pro war and some drink to excess. Tens of thousands are killed every year by drunk drivers (murder), guns (murder), illicit drugs etc. yet where is the outcry from those people. What about the right of the baby born to a mother who can't get adequate health care. Note this: The USA has the highest infant mortality rate of all developed nations many due to inadequate pre natal care (murder).
The discussion is not just pro life to birth but pro life after birth. From where I stand the Democrats are the real pro life advocates.

birth control is not approved in certain situations in the Catholic Church. I have read Humanae Vitae also. It does not say that anywhere. Artificial contraception has never been approved in the church since its beginning. the protestant religions at the lambeth council in 1930 allowed birth control for serious reasons. shortly after Pius XI, in Casti Connubii, reaffirmed and taught against contraception in the Catholic Church and it has not changed but only been reaffirmed by Paul VI in Humae Vitae and JP II.
